Customer support has been first rate from order to delivery, if only all suppliers were like this life would be so much easier.
Thank you for your excellent service.
All aspects were very good save two:-
1) delivery info was initially contradictory with two different time periods given nearly simultaneously - after some 30 to 40 minutes, it was agreed that 1000 - 1400 was the correct period. However we were a little surprised with a further phone call just after 0700 on delvery day to confirm delivery between 1000 - 1400 hrs.
2) the power lead on the appliance is short, much shorter than expected. It would have been useful to highlight this in your description of the appliance.
FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE, IT WAS EASY TO FIND THE PRODUCT I WANTED FROM THE WEBSITE. ONCE I PURCHASED THE PRODUCT I WAS CONTACTED BY CUSTOMER SERVICES IMMEDIATELY BY EMAIL TO CONFIRM MY ORDER AND PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT DELIVERY. DELIVERY WAS DONE ON TIME AND I WAS CONSTANTLY INFORMED BY PHONE ABOUT THE PROGRESS. THE PRODUCT WAS IN ORDER AND NO PACKAGING WAS LEFT AT MY HOUSE.
Altogether very satisfied with all aspects of online shopping @ Sainsburys
I needed a washing machine asap as mine broke down on the Sunday, by purchasing online i had a new machine available to be delivered on the Tuesday I couldn't ask for anything more and wouldn't have had the choice or such a quick delivery if I had gone to a shopping mall.
We were sent a text to say that the appliance would arrive between 9am and 1pm with strict instructions to be present etc. Both my husband and I re-arranged business meetings to be at home for the morning. We received a phone call from the delivery driver at 12-45pm to say they would be another 2 to 3 hours and that they were coming from Manchester. My husband had to go to work and I re-arranged another meeting to hold it at the house and the freezer arrived 2 hours late in the middle of that meeting. It seems to us that there was never any possibility that delivery would be at 9am because of the distances involved and our expectations were raised to a unrealistic level by the tone of the text message. This was such a shame because we were very impressed with being able to order and receive delivery of the freezer so quickly just before Christmas and we are very happy with the product itself. However, it is an old rule but a right one - never promise what you can't deliver!
THIS ITEM WAS NOT DELIVERED DESPITE 3 PROMISED TIMES. WAS SWORN AT BY DELIVERY DRIVER WHEN I ASKED ABOUT NEW DELIVERY TIME AND THEN THEY FORGOT TO PUT ITEM ON LORRY. CALL CENTRE PROMISED TO RING BACK ON THREE OCCASIONS AND DID NOT. THEN WAS TOLD THAT DELIVERY WOULD NOT BE UNTIL NEW YEAR SO CANCELLED ORDER WENT TO LOCAL STORE AND BOUGHT ITEM AND WAS HOME IN UNDER 45 MINS AND INSTALLED IN 10 MINS!!!!!! STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND.
The ordering and updates on delivery were fine, however the actual delivery was a let down. Six of seven items ordered were delivered but a different six out of seven were listed on the order. The driver said he couldn't leave the unlisted item. This was rectified by a phone call by him. I had to phone to find out where the seventh item was and when I could get it delivered.
Ordering procedure excellent, as also 'phoning to advise delivery time. BUT, when the delivery arrived they were UNABLE to take old cooker away (which we'd PAID to be done) because there was no room to carry this on the vehicle. We were told that we'd be rung back that day to arrange a pick-up within the next day or so. A WEEK LATER nobody has rung us up and the old cooker is still outside still awaiting collection. If this is not done very soon and we do not also get an apology for this poor service we would certainly NOT purchase from Sainsbury's in this way again.
Our other slight criticism is that by the time we were rung the previous evening to be told that the delivery might come any time between 7 and 11 am the next morning, it was dark and, as it would remain so until possible delivery next day. it was too late to call out an electrician to disconnect the old cooker, so we had to turn off the electricity at the mains and do this ourselves in the pitch dark by torchlight. Some foresight by Sainsburys could have avoided this.
We are both OAPS (I am 75 and my wife not much younger). Scrobbling about on the floor on a pitch dark evening disconnecting electrical appliances is not exactly my idea of fun now!
